Christchurch Vascular Group was formed in 2006 by three specialist vascular consultants as an extension to their established public hospital practice. Recently one of our Directors and well respected surgeons David Lewis has left CVG to take up a position at the Edinburgh Royal infirmary. Whilst this was a great loss to Christchurch, CVG would like to welcome two new partners : Mr Peter Laws and Mr Adib Khanafer, Clinical Senior Lecturers at the University of Otago and Specialist Surgeons (with vocational scope) in Vascular Surgery.
The ethos of CVG is and has always been to provide the highest quality assessment, imaging, advice and treatment of conditions related to arterial and venous disease. This successful Private Practice specialises in the treatment of patients with Varicose Veins, Aneurysmal disease, strokes, Transient Ischaemic Attacks( mini strokes) and Claudication (leg cramps).
As well as open surgery, CVG is also able to offer the latest in minimally invasive or “key hole†treatments such as Endo-venous laser therapy, the VNUS Closure procedure, stent grafting of abdominal aortic aneurysms (Simple and Fenestrated) as well as angioplasty and stents for lower limb pain when indicated. Whilst many of these techniques require no hospital stay, as specialists working in the public and private sector you can be assured of continuity of care 24hrs a day, seven days a week with a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and requirements.
We’re proud to be accredited providers with Southern Cross Insurance.
